The game follows a pair of police operatives, John Rimes and Rick Jones, as they undertake various life-threatening missions. While the story might not be the most intricate, it serves as a backdrop for the intense tactical gameplay, involving:

Top-Down Perspective

The game is viewed from a top-down angle, similar to "Hotline Miami," but with a focus on tactical elements.

Two-Officer Team

You control one officer (John Rimes in single-player) and issue commands to your AI partner (Rick Jones). In co-op, both officers are controlled by players. Effective teamwork is crucial.

Surrender System

A core mechanic that distinguishes the game. The goal is to apprehend suspects without resorting to lethal force. You can coerce surrender by:

• Shouting commands.
• Firing warning shots.
• Engaging in melee combat.
• Using less-lethal options like pepper spray or tasers.
• Lethal force is only authorized when a suspect poses an active threat.

Tactical Equipment

You have access to a range of police equipment, including:

• Under-the-door cameras to scout ahead.
• Door blast charges for dynamic entry.
• Lockpicks, flashbangs, medkits, ballistic shields, and various firearms (handguns, long guns).

Randomized Levels

Criminals, hostages, and evidence are randomly placed in each level run, ensuring that every playthrough feels unique and keeps you on your toes.

Fog of War

Most elements are hidden by a fog of war effect when out of your line of sight, adding to the tension and requiring careful room clearing.

Dynamic AI

Enemy behavior can be unpredictable; some characters initially appearing as civilians might try to flee or fight back in later missions.

Scoring System

All your actions are scored in real-time. Points are awarded for proper use of force, collecting evidence, and making arrests. Points are deducted for excessive force, missing objectives, injuring civilians, or getting your officers hurt. Aggressive play won't earn you a high enough score to progress, pushing players towards a methodical approach.
